Welcome to the GFWC Woman's Wednesday Club!

About Us

Founded in 1897, the GFWC Woman's Wednesday Club (WWC) of Granbury is a private club dedicated to ongoing charitable and educational initiatives.

For 129 years, we have stood as a beacon of service, education, and sisterhood. A proud 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are also a dedicated member of both the General Federation of Women's Clubs and the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. Our historic clubhouse—built by our members in 1987—sits at 306 N Travis St and serves as the vibrant heart of our community initiatives.

Our Impact

Driven by the energy of 40 dedicated members, we are committed to making a tangible difference in Hood County. Beyond providing financial support, our members actively serve as the backbone of local charitable efforts, volunteering countless hours each year. In the last fiscal year, the WWC contributed over $12,000 to local non-profits, helping to sustain vital community services.

We believe deeply in the power of education. The Lois G. Cleveland Memorial Scholarship Fund, launched in 1977, remains a cornerstone of our mission. Since 2020, we have awarded $224,000 to graduating young women from Hood County high schools, creating life-changing opportunities supported by our annual Taste of Granbury annual fundraiser along with the incredible generosity of our sponsors.
